One Wonderful Day

My amazing parents dropped in for a visit! We were so happy to have them here! Even if it were for only one day. The kids thought they were coming on Friday so we let it be a surprise that they were coming on Thursday. The kids were on the couch watching tv when Grandpa came out and M's eyes got so big and she jumped and gave him a huge hug! It was so sweet. J just sat on the couch. Grandpa said, "hi J, do you remember me?" J said yes. I said, "give Grandpa a hug." J said, "I can't cuz I'm nakey."
We started the day with some delicious RHPs! So very very yummy.

After fixing our hair and doing a little playing

we went to Silver Beach to show the out-of-towners the lake:

Then we had a yummy lunch at Moe's. When we got home we rested and played.
(I have a video of J and Grandpa exercising together but it's not working. Maybe I can get it to work later.)

Then we walked down to the park:

I thought these were sweet pictures-until I noticed they were holding hands!! Melt my heart! I had to take a few more:

Meanwhile Grandpa and M were inspecting acorns:

After the park we went home and ate supper (not worthy of pics). Played and talked and enjoyed being with one another. We tried to make the most of our day with our parents/grandparents whom we love so very much. We love them and wish them the best in their new adventure!

Sand Dunes

We went to play in the sand dunes twice last month. One for fun and one for fun on Labor Day with some friends. Both times were fun! I wish these pictures did justice to how high these dunes are. It is hard work to get to the top! We had a blast climbing and playing in the sand.

This picture is from only half way up:

The other side (it basically looks like a jungle ravine):

From the top (isn't the lake beautiful?) :

My husband, the archaeologist:

If you scroll a little fast you will get the whole story like a picture flip book (of the next four pics)!

These girls wanted to come to:

Cheer Camp

Here are a few pics from the second week of cheer camp-which ended with the little girls cheering with the high school girls at the first football game of the season.

A quick practice before the game(in uniform):

J was very restless-which surprised me. I thought there would be enough going on to occupy his brain, but au contraire. I gave him my camera and that occupied him very well. I also had to delete about fifty photos-but it was worth it! He took most of these:

I wasn't going to include this strange pic, but then I saw Mr. J's smile and I couldn't pass it up. Look how proud he is of his little girl! How sweet! I love this man!

That's how he acted most of the game: (needless to say we left at half-time when the little girls were done cheering).

M had a GREAT time and loved every minute of it. She made new friends and wants to do it again this summer. The big girls luuuved her and wanted to carry her around and such. It was fun for mom and dad to watch as well...
