Mississippi Christmas

Coming into MS from up north was glorious! You just can't beat 75 degree weather when you have been wearing parkas the day before!
When we stopped for supper, it took all of Johnny's concentration to not eat his cookie before his real food:

When we arrived that night we got to trim the tree together:

It took a lot of concentration to get the ornaments in just the right spot:

The next morning I got treated with breakfast in bed:
 Grandmomma enjoying her M time:
M was playing with this white board. She wrote, "me and Gradmomma made peanut butter fudge." She loves the time spent with Grandmomma (and the peanut butter fudge!).
Christmas Eve brought us to our annual dinner at Aunt M and Uncle J's house. Some of us enjoyed playing "dirty santa."
We put out some of our peanut butter fudge and wrote a letter to Santa:

Then we made a plate for Rudolf and co:
 Christmas morning:
This year J waited so patiently for his turn to open presents. Last year he was wild during the whole ordeal-just goes to show how much he has matured in the last year.
Santa brought M a sewing machine! We got to work right away making her first project: a sunglass case for Grandmomma.
 J got a crane-which he loves!
 Finished product:
 Girls day out!
 Too bright to smile!

M wanted to get her hair cut, so here we are at the salon with two of her favorite people in the world:

(I wanted to cry at all that beautiful hair getting cut off-but I didn't! And now we have no more screaming fits brushing her hair!)

She acted happy during the deed, but later told Grandmomma she was nervous and was trying to be brave!

 The three divas:

After the hair cut we did some girl stuff-window shopping, trying on make-up and shoes-the usual! Then we had lunch in the mall followed by frozen yogurt. We all enjoyed ourselves-but know this: M was loving it to pieces!
