We had a blast with the Reeds making graham cracker houses. While we missed Ty it was fun eating and decorating with candy!

The other day it was quite windy, and so we called Grandpa. Thankfully the master kite flyer stopped what he was doing and met us at the top of a hill. It was very fun!

This is what it took to go get the mail one day. They were so cute it didn't matter that it took twenty minutes just to get ready, and then another fifteen to actually get to the mail box!

Yellowstone National Park

We had an amazing and tiring day seeing the sites (or is it sights?) at Yellowstone yesterday. Here are a few. Buffalo walking in the road, M watching Old Faithful, and riding in the car:

Yesterday we spent a lot of time having fun at the children's museum in Jackson waiting for "daddy day". We thought it was great.

M got to pick a treat for going to sleep by herself, (finally) and she picked these fancy nails:

To wash or not to wash?

This picture may be a little confusing. And if it is clear to you, than you are probably wondering why I hesitate to wash it! What the picture does not show you is the swirly designs M drew with a banana when I was gone one morning. That's on the inside. Her muddy handprints are on the outside, and they are so sweet! My precious girl is growing up so fast. I know next time I turn around she will be driving off to prom or college. So I really try to cherish her childhood-even if it is a little grimy...

Tornado Day

Today was a little more exciting than we prefer. We had tornado warnings and watches throughout the day. In between sitting in the "hallroom"


We did a couple activities to pass the rainy day time. We made oodles of Easter cookies:

Thankfully, our kind Father in Heaven kept this trailer on the ground once again and we were safe from the storm. We are ever grateful for his watchful hand over us.

Long Day

6 AM: J wakes up with sweet baby babbling.
6:20: finally get up and get J
8:45:M gets up and we all eat.
9:40:head to the consignment sale.
11:00: head to the co-op for gardening necessities.
12:00: get a call that my husband and daughter have been in a wreck. Thank my Father in Heaven they are ok. M cracked the emt guy up because he asked her if she hurt anywhere and she said "my tummy hurts and it's cebuz I'm hungry!"
1:30: home, lunch, plant herbs for thirty min. (after that m and I were too hot and sweaty)
2:45: nap, clean up, get ready to go
5:30: head to my awesome nephew's birthday party. He had the coolest ninja cake!
8:00: home get kids jammied up and in bed. M says "it's been a long day mom."

Chinese

So after conference on Sunday, the tv was left on for some reason and when we sat down to eat supper there was a documentary about the Galaxy Children's Choir. M was enthralled. After we ate and bathed she put on her closest dress up she had to "Chinese" and we fixed her hair Chinese. And then she got her Chinese baby, and her violin so she could play Chinese. She even spoke some chinese. I just love her imagination!

Dress Making

So Maile and I were making a dress for my sweet little niece. Maile got shall-we-say distracted. Here's what she came up with:


A few items to note: her original outfit, during her cutting and design process she kept saying "we're doing a project", and she wore this outfit to a fancy birthday party to her friend Lindsay's house (ie the playroom) and that game lasted a good thirty minutes. Lazy

Why do my good intentions always melt away? When I wake up I have all these plans to get things done...but then something happens: kids wake up, dishes spontaneously dirty themselves and jump into the sink, and who knows what else. But by the end of the day all I've really managed to get done are my chores and playing/feeding/washing the kiddies. Good thing I have the rest of my life to get my projects done. Cuz babies don't keep!
