Mr. J's Birthday

This month we were blessed to celebrate another birthday with Mr. J. We are so glad he was born; and we are so glad he is still with us! Saturday we went to a new favorite restaurant. Then Sunday M was so excited to decorate the house for him. After church, lunch , and naps we were ready to open presents! The kids had made cards and wrapped their gifts on Saturday so they were anxious to get the party started !
"Thank you for my present" hug!

J was really helping Mr. J open his gift bc he knew what was in there!
I love this one bc it shows M's true self: she loves making people happy! She was just happy for Mr. J to get a good gift! And she is also holding herself back from helping. She is letting J do it since its from him even though she wants to! Love  my girl!
Finally got the gift open, followed by a big hug ! After mr. J opened the last gift little J said " wow! that was the best party ever!"
'Bout to burn down the house!
Blowing all those candles out took two people!
Happy Birthday to the love of my life! I love you!

Dirt!

This little Wilson thing loves some dirt! I can't keep him out of it! I can't keep it off him! On our "bike walk" as he so aptly named it he just " had to ride in the dirt"! He wanted his bike in the dirt, not the street. However, the training wheels do not allow him to ride in the dirt so he  opts for walking. Love this dude!

Science Night

The high school kids put on a science fair for the young people in town. Besides it being blazing hot and crowded in that place, it was fun. The kids got little "passports" that they filled in with a sticker from each station. (Too bad we only took pictures at one station!) At the end they got a piece of candy for having their passports filled up. Here is J at the bubble station. They had a baby pool filled up with bubble solution and were using a hula hoop to make the bubbles. First he didn't know what to think:

Then he was a little nervous:

Then he got right in on the action to pop the bubble:

M had the same reaction, a little nervous at first:

Enjoying herself here: (I love J's "wow" expression in this one!)

(Oh and do you love the outfit she put together-blue and black stripes paired with peach and gray plaid? Love her style!)

The Lost Sheep

Last week, or the week before that (name that tune!) we went to our Bishop's house for supper and FHE. The Bishop's amazing wife had waited for us to get there to feed the lambs. They were so cute! She had the bottles warmed and ready for the kids. M loved it. J couldn't stand there long enough for the poor thing to drink it all but he liked petting them- and running around. I think the noise of all the sheep distracted him. So after feeding the lambs we ate, and then she presented a beautiful lesson about how the Savior loves every one of us. She had coloring pages for the kids and was very patient with J's wiggles.
Her lesson really got me thinking about how much the Savior must love those who are lost. If we do service, pray for, and visit those we are trying to bring back into the fold, do we not love them more? If so, then I think Christ must love those who he wants to get back on the straight and narrow in a special way. What do you think?
Mathew 18:12
"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish."

Old Lady Glasses and Old Man Hats

M had her eyes dilated at the eye dr. She reminds me of my Grandma Reed! (she used to have glasses like that!)

In other news: we went window shopping the other day: our kids are just cute, what can I say?

Jeeping

A few weeks ago we (and by we, I mean Mr. J) hauled the jeep upstairs and the kids cleaned it (with baby wipes) and took it out for a spin. M was going kinda slow and Mr. J asked her why. Her reply: "I've got to get my driving back, Dad!"

A Little Funny

M just made my day. Here is the conversation I just lived:
"Mom, how old are you?"
"34. Why?"
"Mrs. Roth needed to know and I told her 24."
"High five! That's awesome! Thanks girl!"
"I was so close, so close."

Spring

I am so sorry for those in our country who are getting snow. Truly I am, because we finally got spring! Besides the affect that pollen has on my sinuses, I truly love it! And it is so fun to experience spring in a new place-new types of trees and flowers blooming. It is so pretty here! The other day I wanted to see if the tulips had bloomed on campus. They were not all out, but it was still so beautiful! There are lots of Japanese Magnolias (I think that's what they are) that are just gorgeous! They take such good care of the grounds. The kids had a good time too!

(The t-shirt J is wearing is just that: a shirt and not an announcement...)
The kids are hiding in this one! This tree would be so fun to have at home-make forts and take picnics and  naps in it and stuff! I would have loved to get a good one in front of it, but my photography skills are lacking.

                                                                   Happy Spring!
