Busy Bees

We Wild Things have been very busy bees! Here we are getting ready to bake something:

J's choice of attire to go pick up M:

J had a field trip to the fire station. It was really neat. I enjoyed it as well. We got to ride the bus-which was really super exciting for J. He said, "Oh wow!"
Here he is "driving" a big fire truck:

By this time he was ready to go and I was trying to get a pic of him in front of the shiny red truck-but he wasn't having it!

The only reason he took this one is because his teacher asked him to.

Later that day he was being a real free fireman...

Then later he was a fireman at Miss P's birthday party. Isn't she the cutest peacock?

Blurry pic of M playing "Stick the nose on Elmo." She won this game!

The next day we went to Jollay Orchards. It was a lot of fun.

 Fun hay ride:

 Picked some yummy apples:
Can't tell here, but J really enjoyed the apple picking.

 Tractor bikes:

We also got to pet some farm animals. M enjoyed it but was a little timid about it. J had no interest in them at all. This cutie let me touch his nose and ears and everything.

Had my first ever panic attack on this contraption. J didn't much like it either. He was real quiet and then told me real softly, "mom, I don't like this thing." Needless to say we didn't stay on too long. M was embarrassed by me I think. An issue she will quickly have to get over. Heights and I just don't get along.
 My little farm animals:

There was even live musical entertainment:
After we played on the playground there and were thoroughly frozen we got some hot apple cider and then left to go run our errands. It was a lot of fun for us. A day I will hold dear in my pile of memories.
And here is a sight I like to see: M reading to her brother!

Down Syndrome Fair +

A few weekends ago we went to a down syndrome fair and spent time with some great friends of ours. We had a great time playing games and learning. Then we participated in the big "walk". It was a beautiful day and a great time!

After the walk we had lunch:

After lunch I was starting to clean up and pack up and J told me had to go pee. So I was in the middle of telling him "I'll take you as soon as I get lunch cleaned up," but he was gone before I got the words cleaned up. If you look in that picture there is a grassy patch beside the pavilion where we are. He was out there with his pants down! I ran out to assist so the stream wouldn't drip! What you can't see in the pic is that there are lots of people around. Most of them getting a good chuckle out of my little one who said to me, "Mom! I'm watering the flowers!"

Here is M on her way to school one day. Miss P's mom made that bow for her! It is a fabulous Halloween bow. So sweet of her.

Here is another shot before school started. I had to capture the outfit and accessories M decided to wear that day:

First pumpkin of the year: M asked for a flower-so she got one! (Incidentally, I baked that pumpkin and made it into delicious pumpkin soup!)

M's Halloween ghost nails:

Here we are the morning of the Primary Program. M was feeling great and I think it kinda shows in the pics. She was a trouper though, and said her lines beautifully and sang her trio beautifully! (When she first went up the teacher was going to help her, and she whispered, "I don't need help-I can do it by myself!" And then proceeded to say her memorized scripture.) I am one proud mama! (J also got to stand up and sing one song with the big kids. He was waving at the audience throughout the whole song!)

Life's Little Treasures

Sunday Swag:

Miss P:

"Mom, is this horse real or not real?":

Making bird feeders on General Conference day:

Chain is getting shorter:

Miss P's sweet mom bought J some shirts and some have capes on the back. J loves them!! He has worn one everyday since she brought them!
